About Trendsetter’s Trident-OVS
Trendsetter’s Trident-OVS, is a 6-3/8", 15,000 psi mechanical intervention system for the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to bringing the "3 Modes of Operation" synonymous with the Trident Intervention System, Trident-OVS features a rotary deployable EDP. To maximize flexibility, the Trident-OVS can operate with a drill-pipe riser and may also be reconfigured to work as a riserless system on the fly. While most riserless light well intervention systems are limited to 10,000psi wells, Trident-OVS has extended that operational envelope with it's 15,000psi pressure control heads. Trident-OVS is designed to interface with both vertical and horizontal subsea tree systems in water depths up to 10,000 ft. Trident-OVS is comprised of three main modules with safety baked right in: the Lower Riser Package (LRP), the Emergency Disconnect Package (EDP) for riser-based operations and the Lower Lubricator Package (LLP) for riserless light-well operations. Trident-OVS includes Trendsetter's redundant Sentinel Control System to operate the Halliburton Open Water VETO™ valves, delivering field proven shearing and sealing capabilities. The latest addition to the Trident family, Trident-OVS is an industry game changer. It is a versatile and cost effective open water alternative to the traditional MODU-based well intervention and workover operations.
