Trendsetter Announces Ron Downing as New President

As part of its long-term strategic vision of growth and innovation, Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Ron Downing as president.  Downing assumes this responsibility from Mario Lugo who remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Downing brings with him a wealth of experience in business analysis and management, product development, sales and marketing.  He previously acted as EVP of Operations at Trendsetter, successfully overseeing the company’s business development, sales, rental, legal, quality and HSE departments.

Mario Lugo will remain heavily involved in the company, retaining his duties as CEO and chairman of Trendsetter’s board of directors. Lugo’s primary focus will be R&D initiatives and strategic business ventures, while day-to-day operations will be assumed by Downing.

Downing joined Trendsetter in 2010 and has been instrumental in growing the company’s revenue over 375% while maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and client satisfaction.  Prior to joining Trendsetter, Downing excelled in various fields of finance and sales, including investment management and retail and commercial bank management.  Downing received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Baylor University and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Sam Houston State University.
