TRENDSETTER DELIVERS CAPPING STACK IN GUYANA

Houston, TX. – Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce the delivery of a 15,000psi capping stack to Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) in Guyana.  In addition to the capping stack, Trendsetter is sending a suite of source control tooling including a set of subsea super shears for heavy debris removal.  In addition to the equipment deliveries, Trendsetter and OSRL have signed a multi-year contract for storage, maintenance, and technical services should an offshore subsea well-control incident require capping stack mobilization.

The capping stack is a 7-1/16” bore, dual valve assembly with two 5-1/8” outlets. The capping stack in its deployment configuration is 100,000 lbs, making it one of the lightest capping stacks in the industry. This lower weight increases the vessel availability for installation as well as the transport logistic options for the capping stack.

“Since 2012, Trendsetter and OSRL have worked well together to provide access globally to the industry leading source control equipment and services,” said Johnce Hall, Director of Rentals and Aftermarket.  “I look forward to working with local resources and implementing our best practices in the successful setup of the new OSRL base in Guyana.”

Trendsetter is the industry leader in the engineering, construction, and maintenance of capping and containment systems.  Trendsetter has delivered multiple API 17 TR8 compliant HPHT projects since 2016, enabled by Trendsetter’s line of OEM HPHT subsea connection systems.  The capping stack will feature valves from Advanced Technology Valve (ATV).

Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is a privately owned oil and gas service company based in Houston, Texas which provides specialized subsea hardware and offshore service solutions globally from exploration drilling through abandonment.
